Calling in special branch

We've worked out how the 2nd part works - can't for the life of me fathom the tree for the first part. Tried using the image name letters, reversing the w*****'s tree, using the w*****'s sentence with the first set of instructions ... nada. Some help please?

After using the substitution I got a sentence relating to an animal killing in a certain time. Writing that sentence is not working.
